Review by hotel critic
Nestled a bit outside Queenstown, Sherwood provides a unique retreat marked by its sustainable ethos. During my stay, I appreciated the balance it strikes between comfort and ecological responsibility. The well-equipped kitchenette and comfortable bed offered a cozy haven after days of exploring nearby landscapes. One of the highlights was the spa services, including the wellness center featuring a sauna and yoga classes. The tranquil environment was perfect for unwinding, and I often found myself enjoying the serene space, both in the sauna and during self-guided yoga sessions. The restaurant, which prioritizes local produce, impressed with its thoughtful menu, making dinner a delightful experience. A unique touch was the transformed swimming pool area, now a social hub with firepits and beanbags, which added to the overall charm of my stay. Sherwood is an ideal base for adventurers and those seeking peace, with easy access to hiking trails nearby. I encourage anyone looking for a retreat in nature to consider this remarkable accommodation.
